ABOUT ME

I got an early start with my training. At age 11, I went to a famous boarding school in the UK to study all aspects of theatre. I was rigorously trained in ballet and many other forms of dance. I learned vocal skills and acting. I continued my training in adulthood at the Impulse Company in London. In LA I studied at Howard Fine and Groundlings. I continue to remain curious to learn more and stay sharp so I can bring my best performance to every job. I have been lucky to have had a wealth of work in all the areas I trained.

Curtis is a strong narrator whose mixture of  emotion and careful detachment is able to make the listener believe that it is her own story she's telling. It's a powerful performance.

Hannah Curtis infuses her performance with an audible delight for Stuarts quirky story and characters.

Her voice proves welcoming in it's energy but is equally assertive and filled with conviction as she narrates Rippon's prose. She proves adept at communicating Rippon's arguments. Her performance seems entirely in sync with the author.

Curtis narrates the chapters from the titular widows perspective. She varies the texture and quality of her voice to reflect Jean Taylor's changing moods.

MY HOME STUDIO

My home studio is custom built, fully decoupled and sound treated. I used mass loaded vinyl to ensure the noise of the outside world wouldn't interrupt recording. The result is a wonderfully quiet recording studio even in this busy city and the basis for the nice, clean sound I feel proud to deliver.

The Rode NT1 Microphone is compatible with my voice and I use it along with a Focusrite Scarlett preamp. As for my DAW, Pro tools is my preference. I can punch and roll or straight record to deliver clean, professional WAV files. I also have Source Connect, a must for today's competitive home studio.
